About Practice Formulas
Practice Formulas is a study resource for students who need a reliable way to browse formulas, practice calculations, and check worked methods against specification references.
What it covers
- Qualifications: GCSE, IGCSE, AS, A-Level, AP, SAT, and IB pathways where formulas are currently mapped in the library.
- Boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, CIE, Oxford AQA, Edexcel Intl, AP, SAT, and IB.
- Subjects: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business, Geography, Computer Science, and Psychology.
How the solver works
Each formula has a typed list of variables with units and bounds. Enter the values you know, choose the variable you want to find, and the solver converts inputs to base units before calculating the result.
How accuracy is handled
Formula pages include specification references where available, worked examples are checked against the solving engine, and board or qualification filters control which formulas appear in browse and practice views.
What the coverage page means
The coverage page distinguishes between explicitly audited requirement lists and broader mapped qualification views. A mapped view is useful for teaching and revision, but it is not the same as a formal claim that every line of a specification has been independently audited.
